Tonight's Lent Friday
Please plan to stop by the church between 5-7 PM tonight for our second Friday of Lent Prayer and Fasting.

Crestview March Madness Bracket
Our resident NCAA basketball super fan, Chris Duskin, has once again set up a Crestview NCAA Men's Basketball Bracket Challenge. This is a fun way to "compete" with your CBC fam as you enjoy the end of this basketball season!

Here are two ways to fill out a bracket!
This link will take you to a page where a free account is required to fill out a bracket. If you want to participate but do not want to create an account (or for children to play), please take a picture of your completed bracket on paper and send it to Chris; he can enter it directly!
Good Luck!

All Children's (Ages 2-5th Grade) Scripture Memory

March 9 & 16
Psalm 145: Verse 1-15 ESV
I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.

Parents/Guardians: using the info below consider having a conversation with your children in preparation for Sunday School this Sunday:

Ages 2-5: Mary of Bethany Anoints Jesus' Feet
John 12:1-8
(Consider the thread of anointing that runs through the Bible)
Main Truth: Jesus is worthy of worship.
Catechism Question #24: Why was it necessary for Christ, the Redeemer, to die? To deliver us from the power and penalty of sin and bring us back to God.

K-1st Grade: The ABC's of God
Merciful: God is kind to undeserving sinners.
Though we all deserve God's wrath because of our sin, God is merciful to sinners who come to Him with hearts that are truly sorry. God's mercy is a gift--you can't earn it or do enough good things to outweigh the bad things you have done. The greatest mercy we need from God is forgiveness for our sin.

2nd-3rd Grade: In the Beginning...Jesus
The Rise and Decline of the Kingdom under Solomon
God is faithful to all His promises. This lesson explores how God made Israel into a great nation through the kings David and Solomon. Although He blessed the kingdom, David and Solomon were still sinners in need of punishment.

4th-5th Grade: Lord Teach Us To Pray
Your Kingdom Come: Jesus Heals a Woman
Praying "Your Kingdom come" is a commitment to being part of God's work of building His Kingdom in this world.

Middle School: AMPLIFY: Growing a Faith That Lasts
We were off last week so...this week, we begin a three-week series on suffering. The first lesson is entitled “It’s on Us.” In this lesson, we focus on helping students learn that while God controls all things, suffering results from our rebellion against Him. We also examined how we can flesh out what clinging to God amid suffering looks like in our lives.

High School Guys: The Doctrine of Regeneration

High School Girls: I Am the Resurrection and Life
A Video Series that covers the "I Ams" from The Gospel Coalition Women's conference.

Adults: This week, we’ll begin to explore how the Gospel works in us to help us fight our enemy’s attacks.

Partners of the Week:

Local: Local Education
As many schools in the area have their spring break, let’s take the opportunity to thank God for all who are involved in education. And pray that He would give rest and rejuvenation over the spring break to the students, teachers, and staff.

Global: Satya Shiksha Seva
Pray for the establishment of the more than 30 church network in South Asia that Luke works with. And pray especially on Sunday evening (3/16) for Timothy’s (Luke’s main partner) USA visa interview. We long for him to be able to visit us and a few other partner churches and to receive training at a weeklong conference.
