We finished up a great Vacation Bible School week last night! Thank you so very much to all of our teachers and volunteers for making it a success.
Our VBS offering is sitting at just over $2,200.00! If you still would like to give you can do so online or mark your check and put it in the offering box on Sunday. We know that this will be a humongous blessing to the work happening in Uganda.

We will again be hosting the Hope for the Journey Conference at Crestview. If you haven't attended and would like to we'd love to have you. Please RSVP to Jocelyn (info in the photo above).

All Children's (Ages 2-5th Grade) Scripture Memory
June 1, 8, and 15
Psalm 145: Verse 1-21 ESV
I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

Parents/Guardians: using the info below, consider having a conversation with your children in preparation for Sunday School this Sunday:
Ages 2-5:
We will be reviewing the first two stories from VBS week!
K-1st Grade: The ABC's of God
Loving God: Knowing, feeling and treating God as your greatest treasure. Why is it necessary to love God most of all?
2nd-3rd Grade: In the Beginning...Jesus
Jesus: Lamb of God
Jesus offered Himself as the one perfect sacrifice for sin. The Old Testament system of priests, sacrifices and temple was temporary, pointing to something much better--Jesus. The death of Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophecies, and He took our punishment for sin.
4th-5th Grade: Things Hidden
Hearts that Treasure the Kingdom
Students will examine the Parable of the Sower and find that while some people see the Kingdom of God as a treasure, others are incapable of treasuring God. They are hardened against the truth, fickle in their commitment, and love the things of this world instead of God.
Middle School/High School:
Meeting together in the Middle School Sunday School Room
Adults: Paul's Missionary Journeys
Confronting the Empire: Paul in Thessalonica
Sermon Prep:
One-ology: A Study in how Jesus makes His people one.
Glorify Your Son (John 13-17)
Sermon Notes
Partners of the Week:
Local: Minorities
This week, let's pray for the minority communities in Reno County. Pray that God would protect the vulnerable, raise up those who are marginalized, and that His church would love and empower them.
Global: Joe and Denise
Continue to pray for their partners in Eastern Europe and the Republic of Georgia who are printing Christian material in those areas. Also, pray for a Brazilian couple whom they are mentoring that recently moved to Georgia for ministry.
